Apiome File Gateway

Turn every dropped file into typed, deduplicated, routed data.

Apiome File Gateway is an object-store and file-system bridge for structured ingestion into apiome-db. It connects to S3, GCS, Azure Blob, SFTP, and NFS, watches for new arrivals via event notifications or polling, infers schema from headers, deduplicates by content hash, and routes each file to the right Class through a priority rules engine.

Core capabilities

What ships with File Gateway

Every File Gateway surface is wired into the rest of the Apiome platform — no glue code, no separate identity, no bolt-on integrations.

Multi-cloud storage connections

Manage credentials and per-bucket watch mode for S3, GCS, Azure Blob, SFTP, and NFS.

Priority routing rules engine

A 3-pane builder maps filename globs, paths, and schema fingerprints to a target Class and action, with a live test panel.

Schema inference

Sample file headers to detect columns, types, and nullable flags, then match fingerprints to registered apiome Classes.

Content-hash deduplication

A fingerprint log prevents double-loading files that arrive from multiple sources or on retry, with override control.

Format configurator & plugin parsers

Tune CSV, Parquet, Avro, XML, and fixed-width parsing, plus install plugins for Excel, EDI, and mainframe extracts.

Real-time arrival monitoring

Ingest via S3 EventBridge, GCS Pub/Sub, or polling, with a live feed of source, size, and routing outcome.

Inside the product

A look inside Apiome File Gateway

Live design previews from the File Gateway mockup pack — 9 surfaces in total.

File Gateway — Storage connections

Credential and watch-mode management for S3, GCS, Azure Blob, SFTP, and NFS sources.

File Gateway — Schema inference

Header sampling infers columns, types, and fingerprints, then matches them to registered Classes.

File Gateway — Arrival monitor

Live feed of file arrivals from event notifications and polling, with routing outcome and time-to-ingest.

Built for these teams

Use cases

File Gateway is designed around the way real teams actually work — not the way a tool wants them to work.

Data engineering

Land partner CSVs dropped on SFTP into typed apiome-db tables automatically, no manual loads.

Integration teams

Parse EDI 850/856/810 documents and legacy fixed-width mainframe extracts through installable plugins.

Platform operations

Guarantee exactly-once loads across redundant delivery paths using the content-hash dedup ledger.

Enterprise-grade

Built for procurement, InfoSec, and audit

File Gateway ships with the controls your security, legal, and finance partners ask for first — so you can deploy with confidence and pass review with evidence.

  • Per-tenant credential vault for cloud, SFTP, and NFS
  • Exactly-once ingestion via a content-hash dedup ledger
  • Complete file-level load audit trail with rule match and outcome
  • Pluggable enterprise format parsers (Excel, EDI, mainframe)
  • Direct hand-off to Forge pipelines or direct DB loaders
  • Infer schema and suggest the best target Class
  • Draft routing rules from sample filenames and paths
  • Detect and explain schema drift between file versions
  • Recommend parser settings for messy delimited files
AI integration

AI that maps files to your data model

File Gateway uses AI to read messy inbound files, infer their schema, and recommend how they should be parsed and routed into your Classes.

Every File GatewayAI feature is grounded in your tenant's data, runs under your data-residency policy, and respects every role and ACL the platform enforces.
